Who we are

Information you give us

If you fill in the private event enquiry form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the date you’re asking about, how many guests and whatever you write in the details box. That goes straight to Alana’s email inbox so we can reply to you. We don’t do anything else with it.

If you email or call us, we’ll have whatever you tell us, for as long as we need it to help you and to keep ordinary business records.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one uses analytics to understand how people find and use it. We can see things like which pages are visited, roughly which town a visit came from, whether someone arrived from Google or Instagram, and whether anyone tapped the Call, Directions, Order or review buttons. We see this as totals and trends, not as named individuals.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the site.

Cookies we actually use

• _ga and _ga_XM2VM528X7 — Google Analytics. These tell us whether a visit is new or returning so our page counts aren’t nonsense.
• tk_ai — set by Jetpack, a WordPress plugin from Automattic that we use on the site.
• nfd_global_ctb_url_token — set by Bluehost, who host the site.
• If a member of staff logs in to manage the site, WordPress sets login cookies. Those never apply to ordinary visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Other services this site connects to

• Google — Google Analytics and Search Console, connected through the Site Kit plugin. Google’s own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. Our analytics data is set to delete itself after 14 months.
• Online ordering — the Order button takes you to our ordering system, which is run by Heartland. Anything you enter there (including payment details) is handled by them under their own privacy policy, not by this website. We never see or store your card details.
• Square Rewards — our loyalty programme is run for us by Como. If you join, your phone number and points balance live in that system. Joining is entirely optional.
• Instagram, Facebook and TikTok — we link to our pages on those platforms. Following the links takes you to them, and their own policies apply once you’re there.
• Bluehost — our web host.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t hand it to anyone beyond the service providers listed above. We don’t run advertising trackers on this site. We don’t send marketing email to people who haven’t asked for it.

Your choices

• Block or clear cookies in your browser.
• Opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser add-on.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it — just email or call. We’ll do it.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
